Still here!
I really do have good intentions for keeping up with this. I want to record the girls' accomplishments and neat stuff they do.
Last week, Bob, Allison and I vacationed in Boston. We had a wonderful time and I'll post pictures of the vacation on my vacation page eventually. Our room was on the 8th floor and to get to our room, we had to walk past room number 808. Everytime we'd pass the room, Bob would say 'Bob' (because the 8's looked like B's). Anyway, after four or five days of this, Allison picked it up and said 'Bob' when we walked down the hall. Too cute!
Amanda is back at school today for her first day as a senior. Eek. Am I really old enough to be mom to a high school senior? In other sad news, her fish died while we were away. That goldfish had to have been 9 or 10 years old, at least. I know her dad forgot to feed it the week we were in Disney World and that was in 1996. I think we got it the summer before, after her carnival fish died the day after she won them. He lived a good long life. Burial will be this fall after the weeds die back in the family pet burial plot next to Sandy. For now, he's being cryopreserverd in my Mom's freezer.
Allison started her first day at a new daycare today. Her old one closed down. :-( I'm very uncomfortable with it right now because it's a brand new program and they will have lots of kinks to work out. I have a few concerns that need to be addressed, but I hope most of them are just because I'm a nervous mommy.
