Memories to keep

Ok, so yeah, I've not posted here in a year, but I wanted to jot down an event from this morning so that I wouldn't forget it. It's just one of those memories you want to keep forever.

I was brushing Allison's hair this morning before taking the kids to daycare. She must have gotten something in it yesterday because I couldn't get the brush through it. I was trying to be gentle, but it just wasn't working. Allison started crying.

Bobby, who had been sitting nearby watching all of this, jumped up and ran to her bed where he grabbed her "smelly blankie" and brought it to her. I thought it was so sweet that he tried to comfort her. And it worked! Allison calmed down, and though I still had to tug and pull to brush her hair out, she stopped crying so hard.

Way to go Bobby! My caring little man.
