Fingerprints, check

We sent in our I600A on July 12th and got our fingerprint letter on the 19th. We went downtown this morning to get them done. That was not fun. Amanda and I rode home on the Metro so Bob could get to work sooner. Waiting for the train, I had sweat just rolling off me. I don't know why I bothered to shower this morning. It's hot out there!
I'm still waiting on our stupid bank letters! The local bank was easy because I sat there with them as they typed it. One of the other three banks did it right. But the other two .... arg. One bank sent each savings account (2) and each individual CD (5) as a separate letter and included the account numbers. We asked for one letter with no account numbers. Each letter also had a signature stamp and wasn't notarized. The other bank's letter was correctly written and notarized, but started off with "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Ford". Our last name is Lord. :-( So, off it went again.
I sent one bank letter off to Texas to get certified, but made a mistake on the request form. Instead of calling or emailing me (the request form asked for both), they returned everything! I forgot to put Guatemala as the country. I misread it as county and wrote the county the notary was from. Ooops. What would have been a 10 second phone call turns into a week's delay. Oh well, it's not like I'm waiting on it.
Still waiting to see a homestudy draft. I'm not sure if the social worker has set up the interview with our reference yet.
I'm going to take all the Carroll County stuff to the courthouse to get certified tomorrow. All of the other Maryland stuff is Anne Arundel county, so we can take it to Annapolis to get it certified and then all of it to the secretary of state to get gold-sealed at the same time, hopefully the week after next if dh will get his butt in gear and finish the taxes! I'm not sure about the homestudy though. I think they're Howard County so there may be a trip to Ellicott City soon.
But we're getting closer!
